Ultram, also known as tramadol, is manufactured by Ortho-McNeil Pharmaceuticals and is used as a
pain reliever. Ultram is similar to a narcotic and as such, the drug may be
addictive and habit forming. Ultram may also cause
seizures, convulsions and other violent reactions in a small number of people. Ultracet is a combination of acetaminphen and tramadol, and is precribed by doctors to treat pain. An overdose of Ultracet can be fatal and it is strongly advised that users of this medication take no more than is prescribed.
