ammonia and
methylamines from a plant in Pace, Florida are blamed for several recent
deaths and hundreds of
injuries. Three
lawsuits blame Air Products and Chemicals Inc. for the release of the chemicals.
The plaintiffs claim that they have trouble
breathing, suffer from
headaches,
sinus problems,
fatigue and a variety of other ailments. Company officials claim that the releases of ammonia and methylamines were not concentrated enough to cause any permanent injuries.
