Maalox is an over-the-counter antacid manufactured by Novartis Pharmaceuticals. Recently, health officials in California revealed that Maalox may contain excessive amounts of
lead. California officials warned the manufactured that it must either reduce the amount of lead contained in Maalox or provide more detailed labeling explaining the high lead content.
