Public health officials have found
Trichloroethylene, a
cancer-causing chemical, in seven drinking water wells in the Deerwood neighborhood of Starke, Florida. The source of the contamination has not been identified. Bradford County officials claim that the contamination does not pose an immediate health threat even though the levels found exceed the maximum allowable under state regulations.
Trichloroethylene is primarily used in industrial solvent applications.
See your doctor if you live in Deerwood and you have experienced serious health problems. In addition, it may be important to
contact an attorney who can help you protect your legal rights. Please keep in mind that there may be
