Adcon-L is a gel used to reduce scar tissue development after spinal surgery. Gliatech, Inc. manufactures Adcon-L.
In December 2000 the Food & Drug Administration issued an Application Integrity Policy, or "AIP," that suggested Gliatech officials altered research in order to win the agency's approval. In addition, in May 2001 one of Adcon-L's clinical testing sites was reprimanded by the FDA for following poor clinical procedures. Nevertheless, Gliatech insists that Adcon-L is still safe and effective.
See your doctor if you have experienced serious side effects associated with Adcon-L. In addition, it may be important to
contact an attorney who can help you protect your legal rights. Please keep in mind that there may be
time limits within which you must commence suit.
