AcroMed Corporation manufactured a defective
bone screw used to relieve back pain. Many of the AcroMed screws broke after implantation into patients' spines. In a 1997
class action lawsuit
settlement, patients who received defective AcroMed bone screw implants were awarded $100 million.
Recently, a court ruled that those patients suffering from the faulty AcroMed bone screws could participate in the settlement despite the fact that they missed the original court deadline.
See your doctor if you have been injured by an AcroMed product. In addition, it may be important to
contact an attorney who can help you protect your legal rights. Please keep in mind that there may be
time limits within which you must commence suit.
